Privacy Policy
Purpose
This document outlines how the Bulk Email Extractor handles data when scanning webpages for email addresses. It describes what is collected, how it is stored, and the controls available to the user.
Scope of Operation
The extension operates only on the webpage that you actively scan. It does not access hidden frames, background tabs, or off‑screen content. All processing occurs within the visible page context.
Data Collection Procedures
When you click the scan button, the extension parses text on the active page to identify sequences matching email address patterns. Only text that you can see in your browser window is evaluated. No automatic or background scans take place without your initiation.
Local Storage and Retention
Discovered email addresses and your chosen settings (such as filters and scan preferences) are saved within the browser’s local storage space. These items remain on your device until you clear them or disable the extension. Storage is not shared or synchronized beyond your browser.
User Control and Data Removal
You can clear the stored email list and reset extension settings at any time through the extension interface. Disabling or removing the extension will erase all saved information immediately.
Security Safeguards
Extraction routines execute only when you press the scan button. The extension leverages the browser’s built‑in security environment to protect stored data. Other webpages and extensions cannot access this data.
Third‑Party Sharing
No scanned data or user settings are transmitted to external servers or third parties. The extension does not integrate analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services.
Policy Revisions
Any changes to this policy become effective as soon as they are implemented. Continued use of the extension indicates agreement with the revised terms. You may remove stored data or uninstall the extension if you do not accept updates.
